Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions, focusing on teamwork and accuracy.
  • Prepare and record assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information with diligence and a commitment to excellence.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions to maintain and balance subsidiary accounts and ensure accuracy and financial integrity.
  • Administer the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries to contribute to a reliable financial system.
  • Develop and generate financial statements, including balance sheets, financial documents requested, and profit and loss statements, while ensuring compliance and long-term sustainability.
  • Manage the accounting aspects of the payroll process with precision and dedication.
  • Execute all work needed for auditors working on internal and/or external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, demonstrating transparency and accountability.
  • Manage revenue recognition to provide an accurate framework to enable the company to make solid decisions.
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Act as a go-to resource for the finance team, company leaders, and teammates.
  • Perform additional duties to support the finance team with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
  • Strong background in POC accounting
  • Ability to manage multiple company reconciliations with eliminations


What We're Looking For:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience.
  • Construction accounting experience is a plus, but strong POC experience is necessary.
  • Strong working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP, ensuring financial compliance and accuracy.
  • Multiple company reconciliations with eliminations are essential.
  • Excellent financial analysis and organizational skills, committed to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to Train and mentor junior staff to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while effectively supporting team goals.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively to ensure efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities to enhance organizational success.
