Position Summary
The Inspection Technician supports the ongoing development, manufacture, and distribution of pharmaceutical products in compliance with local procedures, corporate policies, and the regulatory requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for visual identification of defects in products through observation to ensure integrity and quality.
- Document the inspection results, identify the defective items and document the reasons for rejections or acceptance.
- Adhere to all quality control procedures and standards, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and quality control standards.
- Ability to see clearly and accurately identify defects.
- Reports process deviations to supervisor to prevent product deviations. Adheres to safe working procedures and makes suggestions for safety related improvements.
- Maintains and completes all production documentation including batch records. Maintains the manufacturing area housekeeping to current standards.
- Prepare all equipment for production by performing cleaning and sanitization duties. Inspect all equipment and facilities prior to use.
- Adheres to Company safety procedures and daily guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- High School diploma / or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division).
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and sit and/or stand for 8 hours.
- Pass an eye exam and color acuity examination
- Must have good hygiene.
