Role Overview
This position serves as the supporting field-based scientific liaison between Exeltis USA and thought leaders. The MSL provides fair, unbiased, balance information to stakeholders while communicating feedback from thought leaders to Exeltis decision makers. This position requires excellent communication skills and to successfully network within the scientific and clinical community. This position is field based, full-time covering multiple states with a high level of travel.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Establish scientific and clinical relationships with thought leaders and academic centers to engage in scientific exchange within the focus areas of Reproductive and Women’s Health as well as other specialties as needed
Present healthcare professionals and decision makers within healthcare systems with accurate, unbiased, balanced and timely answers to unsolicited requests for information about Exeltis USA products
Timely, accurate, specific and balanced responses to medical information request forms (MIRFs) in collaboration with Medical Communications
Provide continuing field scientific support and training for sales teams and other Exeltis personnel
Document and forward reports of adverse events to appropriate Exeltis USA personnel
Establish and maintain contact with relevant medical, research and educational societies within assigned geography
Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in assigned therapeutic areas
Develop and deliver very specialized scientific/educational programs including but not limited to formulary presentations for health systems, managed care and related organizations
Assist Medical Affairs as well as Exeltis personnel in the development of presentations and publications
Actively participate in advisory boards, speaker training events, clinical investigator meetings, regional, national and international meetings when required
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate the review of investigator-initiated trial funding requests in compliance with all policies and good practice recommendations
Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as needed
Other duties as assigned to support the non-promotional, scientific work of Exeltis
Actively participate in key medical and scientific conferences by staffing medical information booths, gathering competitive intelligence on competitors and attending scientific sessions
Competencies/Career level

· An advanced degree (e.g. M.D., Pharm.D., NP, PA, or Ph.D).
· MSL or Medical Affairs experience preferred, individuals without MSL experience are strongly encouraged to apply
· Experience in therapeutic area strongly preferred
· Excellent presentation skills as well as the ability to successfully interact with medical professionals at all levels are required.
· Working knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements as well as clinical trial design and statistics is required.
· Represents the organization as a prime field medical contact.
· Work is primarily independent in that it is performed without appreciable day-to-day direction. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results against objectives.

· Languages: English
· Experience (years/area): Therapeutic area experience strongly preferred, MSL experience preferred
· Specific Knowledge: Working knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements as well as clinical trial design and statistics is required.
· Travel: 70%, local, national, and international travel required

Physical Demands
This job operates in a remotely in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required depending on business need.
