K-12 SYSTEM SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the K12 System Support Technician utilizes their expertise to provide comprehensive hardware and software support across SAU 16. This role involves resolving hardware, software, and communication issues while interacting with students, staff and other stakeholders, recommending inventory stock, and maintaining strict control over supplies, parts and equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role involves resolving hardware, software, and communication issues while interacting with students, staff and other stakeholders, recommending inventory stock, and maintaining strict control over supplies, parts and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve hardware and associated software issues within SAU 16 computer systems.
- Perform hardware repairs and maintenance on a wide range of PC, Apple products, and Google Chromebook computers and peripherals.
- Provide technical assistance to students and staff.
- Offer advanced hardware technical support and network troubleshooting, resolving system hardware and software conflicts.
- Evaluate existing computer systems hardware, perform system upgrades, customize and test computer systems, and resolve configuration conflicts and errors.
- Install, integrate, and configure new computer systems and hardware for users.
- Review, prioritize, and process problem reports while documenting project progress.
- Maintain high-quality customer service standards in responding to questions and inquiries.
- Set up and install projectors as needed and assist with AV issues in classrooms.
- Effectively manage the inventory of technology equipment and software using asset management software with thoroughness and accuracy.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A Certification or equivalent experience with two to four years of directly related experience.
- Knowledge of various computer systems software, applications, hardware, and communications.
- Proficiency in computer hardware maintenance and repair, and ability to perform advanced repairs and upgrades on a wide variety of computers and peripherals.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving a range of computer problems.
- Experience installing and configuring computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving skills for efficient diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
- Ability to manage the stress of customer service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required for objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders.

- Compensation will be commensurate with experience: Range: $27.00 to $32.00
