Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Project Estimator to join our team in Woburn, MA. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for Trade Show projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review designs prior to client submission to confirm fabrication feasibility, ballpark pricing, and value engineering
- Complete accurate and detailed estimates including materials and labor for custom fabrication projects
- Review vendor pricing to ensure profit margins are being maintained
- Coordinate with outside specialized fabricators, as needed, to maintain client deadlines
- Participate in regular production meetings, job launches, and staff meetings to interact and communicate effectively with all departments and staff ensuring optimum results and scheduling
- Assist in monitoring rental inventory; communicate and assist operations in determining necessity for additional rental inventory property purchases
- Assist with the purchasing of materials, as needed, to be used in exhibit builds within project budget
- Reconciling costs with accounting
- Promptly and professionally respond to client inquiries in a courteous manner
- Continually educate self on new product lines, construction techniques, audio visual, and lighting
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in related field or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent
- Working knowledge of industry fabrication techniques and product information
- Excellent problem resolution and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow and meet deadlines
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite and SketchUp.
