What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mailroom - Check Processing Manager position at EXL Service?

Responsibilities include to lead our Mail Room and Payment Checks Processing Associates within our record retrieval Process.    Specific Responsibilities/Activities: Supervise, mentor, and develop team members in the Mail Room and Payment Checks Processing departments. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth. Oversee the processing, sorting, and distribution of all incoming documents/records.   Ensure timely and accurate delivery of documents to the relevant departments or personnel. Implement and maintain efficient systems for tracking and managing incoming documents. Continuously optimize mail room procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Supervise the processing of payment checks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures. Implement and monitor controls to prevent errors and fraud in payment processing. Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for payment checks processing. Identify opportunities for process improvements in both the mail room and payment checks processing operations. Develop and implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies in all mail room and payment processing activities. Maintain high standards of security and confidentiality for sensitive information handled by both departments. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy standards. Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.  Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient check processing and record retrieval. Provide support and assistance during audits and financial reviews.   Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a similar operational setting. - Experience with mail room operations and payment processing is highly desirable. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with office software and familiarity with automation tools. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development

Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
