Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Driller/Locator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating drilling equipment and ensuring that drilling operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to safety regulations. The Driller will work primarily on construction sites and may be involved in fiber optic projects, requiring the ability to operate various types of machinery including excavators, vactrons, etc.
Duties
- Operate drilling rigs and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on drilling equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Monitor drilling parameters and make adjustments as necessary during operations.
- Collaborate with crew members to ensure effective communication and teamwork on site.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the transportation of materials and equipment to and from the construction site using commercial driving skills when necessary.
- Document daily operations, including any issues encountered during drilling activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in drilling or related fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and practices relevant to construction sites.
- Experience operating forklifts, excavators, vactrons, or similar vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
