Job Summary
A small medical clinic is seeking a Front Office Medical Receptionist. As a Front Office Medical Receptionist, you will provide service centered on patient care and patient relationships. This position is a vital for welcoming patients entering the clinic and integrating them into the practice. You will act as a liaison between patients and providers/staff to facilitate a cohesive system of care. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Communication, honesty and excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with patients, physicians, staff and providers are key to your success! Candidates with clinical and/or medical assisting experience are encouraged to apply!
Required Qualifications
High school diploma; some college preferred;
A minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical customer service or administrative setting;
Previous work history in a clinical setting (clinic, medical practice, hospital);
Experience in EMR;
Knowledge of medical insurance and terminology, billing and data entry;
Knowledge of properly writing a prescription;

Essential Functions
- Understand, support, and implement the mission and vision of the Clinic;
- Support and cooperate with physician to deliver highest quality patient care and to provide continuous improvement in patient care delivered by Clinic;
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant;
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information are filed and are available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment;
- Facilitate proper insurance authorization procedures;
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls;
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physician(s);
- Obtain necessary procedures to schedule ancillary tests, including correct documentation of tests to be scheduled;
- Call in prescription refills;
- Work to ensure clinic space, resources, and time are consistently maximized to meet the needs of Physician schedule;
- Ensure the examination rooms and nurse’s station is appropriately stocked with supplies and are in an orderly appearance, e.g. order supplies, unpack and store supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required, and ensure all necessary paperwork and patient education resources are readily available.
Pay Rate: $15.50 /per hour, based on experience, potential for bonus and pay advancement.
Position Environment
Willing to travel to 2 clinic locations in Boise and Caldwell.
