Community Outreach Worker

Exodus Recovery, Inc (Exodus) is looking to hire a full-time Community Outreach Worker for our CalAIM San Diego program.

The Community Health Worker functions as part of the Team and is generally the first contact for the client. They are actively involved in providing direct or indirect care and supervision of the clients under the discretion of the Program Director. The Community Outreach Worker uses their experience to enhance recovery efforts of clients, actively promotes understanding of clients’ points of view and preferences, and fulfills duties related to outreach, client support, care manager assistance, rehabilitation, and collateral interactions with natural supports. The Community Outreach Worker will be available to provide case management services if applicable and within their scope.

Requirements:

• Two years’ experience working with individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and/or substance abuse issues preferred and two years’ experience working with program specific populations preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have completed first aid and CPR training or obtain certification within four (4) weeks of hire.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Must have valid California driver’s license.

Education:

• High School Graduate/or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred

Commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
