What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Advocate position at Exodus Recovery Inc.?
Exodus Recovery is looking for per-diem weekend Peer Advocates for our Crisis Stabilization Center located in Fresno, CA.
Job Summary:
The peer counselor functions as part of the treatment plan and is generally the first program site contact for clients. They are actively involved in providing direct or indirect care and supervision of the clients under the discretion of the Program Manager.
Requirements:
- Two years experience working with the chronic mentally ill and substance abuse preferred.
- A stable psychiatric condition of minimum 12 months and continuous sobriety of 24 months or longer.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Addiction Counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Peer Counselor Certificate required.
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- Certified Recovery Specialist (Preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 per hour
