Exodus Recovery, Inc is looking to hire a full-time START Coordinator for our START program located in Vista, CA.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Exodus Recovery, Inc. (Exodus) shall employ individuals to provide treatment and psychoeducational services with cross-systems navigation for clients in the Exodus START Program. START Coordinators Maintain an active caseload of individuals referred for START Services (variability occurs depending on activity level of cases and the project scope). START Coordinators must successfully participate in and complete the START Coordinator certification training within 12 months of employment. This includes the demonstration of competencies in all areas associated with START coordination. Understand how to use ecomaps as part of systemic analysis and provide consultation to systems/teams as needed using best practices. Assist with referrals for START services as needed including screening for enrollment in START. Ensure the coordination of support meetings and crisis plan development for individuals enrolled in START. Provide outreach visits to the individuals’ home, day and vocational settings regularly. Use the START Action Plan for case planning and strategizing. Develop Comprehensive Service Evaluations, Cross-Systems Crisis Prevention and Intervention Plans, Intakes and Assessments. Provide crisis intervention services 24/7 on an on-call, rotational basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other human service field.
- Registered with the BBS as a licensed or pre-licensed IMF, MFT, ASW, LCSW, PCCI or LPCC, or with the Board of Psychology as a Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, Psychological Assistant or Psychological Intern.
- In some exceptional cases, a master’s degree in a related field with the required experience, a master’s degree in progress with at least six months of experience with the START model, or a bachelor’s degree with five years’ related experience and a year of experience with the START model may be accepted.
- Two (2) years’ experience working with people with IDD and behavioral health needs.
- The ability to work with complex systems and an interest in the population is essential.
- Ability to work Independently, organized with mature judgement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Experience working with families and individuals.
- Ability to work on a 24/7 crisis response team.
- Ability to complete START Coordinator certification within 12 months following employment (may be 18 months for part-time coordinators).
Please note: Employee must be on call one weekday overnight(9am-9am) and one weekend a month.
