Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Commercial Operations, Analytics, and Insights to join our IDEAYA team. This role will be responsible for building and executing commercial operations, analytics, and insights as core capabilities that will enable operational excellence and achieve outstanding results for the business and patients. This leader will leverage the depth of their oncology and operational US launch experience to support Commercial, Medical, Finance, Business Development, and other functions and successfully commercialize IDEAYA’s precision medicines in the US and around the world. This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer, and is based in IDEAYA’s South San Francisco, California office with an expectation to be in office 4 days a week.
What you'll do :
- Serve as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of commercialization strategy, as well as the commercial, medical, operational and launch plans that align with company goals.
- Lead IDEAYA’s market research, analytics and competitive intelligence functions, assessing unique needs to craft bespoke plans to deliver critical insights and recommendations to the business.
- Lead the development and maintenance of short- and long-term forecast models, highlight risks and opportunities, model various scenarios and multiple probability simulations, and triangulate with external stakeholder models (e.g. analysts).
- Develop and implement an end-to-end data strategy covering both internal and external sources and encompassing master data management (MDM), data governance, and business intelligence solutions. Lead new data acquisition efforts and negotiate with third parties to access data.
- Lead the development and implementation of data-driven solutions using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques, predictive algorithms, and AI-powered tools to extract actionable insights from diverse data sources to drive US Commercial strategies and tactics.
- In collaboration with field medical, sales & access, assess organizational needs and lead field force design, territory alignments, and performance tracking, including the development and delivery of customer engagement and field enablement tools.
- Lead the evaluation, development, design and administration of incentive compensation plans that attract, reward, and retain top talent.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. Partner with medical and commercial leadership to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics solutions that measure and improve execution and performance across the organization.
- Oversee meeting planning and marketing services, including promotional & medical material review / distribution processes and operations to support presence at scientific and internal meetings and events.
- Build and oversee commercial operations and field training, including platforms that support each function’s operational and training needs.
- Collaborate seamlessly across multiple functions, including Executive Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and IT.
- Oversee external vendors and consultants supporting Commercial Operational platforms and resource needs for data analytics, meeting planning, competitive intelligence, IC planning, market research, and other areas as required.
- Manage the annual budget for the Commercial Operations organization.

The expected salary range for this role that is based in our South San Francisco, California office is $301,325 - $372,225.
The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the office location where this open position is located, the final candidates’ experience within their profession, experience in the disease areas we are striving to make an impact in as a company, length of time within the industry, educational background, and performance during the interview process.
