Summary DescriptionThe Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR), an agency of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, seeks an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to focus on the implementation, integration, and process improvement efforts related to the migration of the practice management application. This individual will work closely with OLR staff to document existing processes, identify opportunities for improvements, and design new processes to support the migration of their practice management , including OLR, Consolidated Court Automation Programs (CCAP), and the vendor to design, develop, and implement workflows required for OLR's practice management % remote work up at the discretion of, and in coordination with, the customer. Responsibilities-Guide and manage the process of taking business requirements and translating them into business and technical requirement that drive application design.-Understand OLR's business objectives and problems to define and document workflows, develop process documents, as well as key inputs and outputs associated with the process.-Provide excellent customer service through collaborative working sessions to drive and facilitate requirements gathering with OLR and the vendor, and CCAP as necessary.-Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates application and OLR's user needs; documents accordingly.-Evaluate application output and reports for accuracy; as well as OLR's policies and procedures for quality; as required.-Draft business requirements at the appropriate level of detail for each work effort, ensuring the cross-functional impacts and any required coordination / integration effort has been identified ahead of the solution.-Involvement in designing integrations of internal operational systems; as required.-Work with OLR and project stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into functional requirements, as well as related test cases; as required.-Create test scenarios, test plans, test reports, and track; as required.-Ensure developed solutions perform according to documented user requirements; as necessary.Candidates must be Wisconsin residents or willing to relocate to Wisconsin prior to starting the role.Skills-Holistic knowledge of the overall requirements process; both business and technical.-Adaptability and flexibility when working with multiple stakeholders with varying degrees of application development knowledge and ability / availability to participate.-Partner with various IT roles to provide input into the technical aspects of solution design.-Develop, execute, and document user test cases and testing; as required.-Escalate issues and risks accordingly; provide solution recommendations.-Pro-active communication to project team, stakeholders, senior management and the wider organization.-Strong documentation and communication skills, including presentation and meeting facilitation.Qualifications & Experience-3 to 5 years' experience in a business analyst role; IT experience preferred.-A proven track record in software development and business analysis.-Experience working on application development projects to collect, document, and disseminate business requirements utilizing industry standard techniques.-Familiarity with the BABOK, or certifications offered through the International Institute of Business Analysis is preferred.-Experienced with business process reengineering.-Experience with business process mapping and workflow diagrams.-Experience with Visio, Microsoft Office, and other requirements development tools.-Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles or certification preferred.-Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams.
