Detailed Job Description : The DHS Database Administrator's primary responsibility will be to work with application developers to integrate databases with applications. They will collaborate with developers and project team members, analyze requirements, model data structures, and create efficient database schemas. They will be responsible to manage SQL database backups, recovery procedures, and be a liaison with the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) in the validation of server patching, software upgrades, user access controls, and the creation of new servers or database in the Enterprise SQL or Oracle environment. The DBA must have experience with SQL Database services and management tools. These tools include SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Visual Studio 2022, Red Gate Comparison, Report Builder, Oracle SQL developer tool and SQL , compliance regulations, and business requirements. Strong communication with different stakeholders both verbally and written are necessary for success in this , infrastructure, application development, or 3rd party Vendors. A strong candidate will also have knowledge and experience with current Oracle database tools such as OEM, SQL Plus, and SQL developer.
