The Radiologic Technologist will operate the Hologic Discovery Wi DXA for screening purposes
Responsibilities:
- Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable equipment.
- Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures.
- Operates Hologic Discovery Wi DXA for equipment.
- Maintains computerized records, files, and/or reports.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of the current trends and techniques of x-ray technology.
- Ability to learn to conduct quality control studies; learn to use computerized radiologic equipment; learn to operate a computer for recordkeeping purposes.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and staff.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
- Additional BD credentials preferred.
- One year of experience desirable.
- Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of screening appointments
