Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on the job site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
Duties
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site while maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as Primavera, Prolog, HeavyBid, and ProCore for project tracking and reporting.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and contracts to ensure financial accountability.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work while addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management or a similar role is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Familiarity with budgeting practices and contract management is essential.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Primavera or Prolog is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with all levels of personnel involved in the project.
