What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Manager position at Exoticapedia LLC?
- Plan, route, and oversee order fulfillment ensuring customer orders depart on time, complete and correct in as cost-effective a manner as is suitable to the order.
- Prepare work schedules and expedite workflow of Shipping and Receiving to make sure the work is accomplished efficiently, safely and meets organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Plan and oversee the organization and documenting of storage of products, components and materials throughout the departments of the company.
- Oversee the documentation on bills of lading, international paperwork, tariffs, transportation invoices, packing slips and that delivery information communicated to customers is reliable.
- Analyze financial information to develop budgets, plans and policies for increasing profits or improving services. Monitor spending to make sure expenditures are consistent with approved budget.
- Remain knowledgeable of DOT and OSHA regulations specific to shipping/transportation and monitor compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with other managers in order to ensure that all products are available for shipment according to expected shipping schedules.
