What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Safety Officer position at Exoticapedia LLC?
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Implements the Agency's bus and para-transit safety programs to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and requirements; trains operators and other staff in safe operational practices and procedures; monitors and checks operator compliance with safety practices and procedures.
2. Evaluates operator performance as it relates to safety; provides on-board, bus trailing, and spot inspections and safety evaluations; recommends additional operator training and disciplinary action if warranted; recommends changes to stops and equipment to improve passenger safety.
3. Creates and maintains operator safety evaluation log books and VTT certifications; prepares informational and statistical reports; creates and updates safety training records for all agency staff.
4. Assists in the Agency's accident investigation processes; participates in conducting thorough investigations and analysis of conditions and circumstances surrounding collisions, events and injuries; reviews collision and incidents reports to identify trend and provides retraining to staff as needed; provides feedback and recommendations to Agency trainers by preparing findings on safety issues and improvements.
