Job Description:

A Fire & Safety team member will be responsible to prepare and maintain the track during the day and to ensure the safety of the tracks at all time.

Essential Functions

1. Monitor the safety of all tracks
2. Communicate with departments via radio/walkie talkie
3. Be aware for fire hazards in the workplace
4. Maintain the conditions and requirement stated on Motorsport Adventures safety permit
5. Keep flammable materials from ignition source
6. In the event of incipient fires, extinguish immediately
7. Contain and evacuate for fires other than incipient fires
8. Ensure employees are aware of the exact location of the fire firefighting equipment in the immediate area
9. Maintain constant means of communication with track management
10. Before and during each shift, inspect the entire track and premises for potential hazards
11. Drive fire & safety vehicle
12. Assist with Company safety meetings
13. Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants fire pumps and hoses at anytime
14. Assists other departments with guest concerns
15. All other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; to stand; to walk; to see; to use a radio; be on feet for extended period of time; to use hands; to possibly be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals;  and to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds; be able to work in outside temperatures of up to 120 F in summer and 30 F in winter and regularly hear loud, repetitive noise.

Required Education and Experience

1. CPR/AED trained
2. One year fire service school or equivalent
3. Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Education and Experience

1. EMT
2. Additional fire safety training
