What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Instructor position at Exousia Management, LLC?
Dance Instructors should be qualified to teach beginning through advanced levels of Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Poms, and/or Hip Hop. North Suburban School of Dance Instructors are professionally trained dancers invested in sharing their passion for the art with young dancers. Instructors should lead by example in areas such as punctuality, responsibility, motivation, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively design and plan curriculums for all levels and populations
- Prepare progressive lesson plans which will enhance the experience of program participants.
- Record and maintain attendance records.
- Set-up studio and return space to the neat state upon completion of the class.
- Accurately complete all administrative duties relating to dance classes (i.e. timesheets, student evaluations/placements, recital forms, etc.)
- Enforce rules and policies by maintaining constant surveillance of class participants.
- Choreograph one dance per class for end-of-year recitals.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Report injuries and complete required forms.
- Immediately notify a supervisor of any broken equipment or unsafe aspects of the studio space.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
