We are hiring an experienced Power Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical power systems while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety standards.
\n- Design and develop power distribution systems, including specification of equipment, protection schemes, and control systems
- Perform detailed power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysesDevelop and maintain power system models using industry-standard software tools
- Create technical documentation, including one-line diagrams, specifications, and engineering calculations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power systems with other engineering disciplines
- Conduct power quality assessments and recommend solutions for improvement
- Provide technical guidance on equipment selection and system architectureEnsure compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards
- Support commissioning and testing of power system installationsTroubleshoot complex power system issues and provide innovative solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
- 5 years of industry experience in power systems engineering
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, or similar)
- Strong understanding of power system protection and control principles
- Experience with NERC/FERC regulations and utility requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong project management and communication abilities
