The Challenge

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers, self-motivated, communicate proactively, and enjoy collaborating.

Principle Areas of Responsibility

• Maintain an organized and efficient filing system for documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping policies.
• File and archive financial records in a systematic manner.
• Work with Accounts Payable and vendors on invoices, payments, and waivers.
• Process expense reports.
• Track expenditures and reimbursements for corporate credit cards.
• Assist with preparing billings for clients, follow up on Account Receivable
• Ensuring all transactions processed adhere to Company policies, procedures, and internal controls (PO’s, approvals, supporting documentation, etc.)
• Prepare and distribute the various reports when needed.
• Assist with audit requests. 
• Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned.
• Assist Project Accountants

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in related discipline
• 0-2 years of related experience 
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel, including advanced Accounting and Finance formulas 
  • Skills assessment required as part of interview process
• Ability to multitask, maintain confidences, and manage confidential information.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, critical thinking, and customer service focus
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 
• Experience in engineering or construction environment.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint a plus.

Salary Range: 

This position has an annual range of $65,000.00 To $77,000.00. The actual hourly is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

Salary Range: 

This position has an annual range of $65,000.00 To $77,000.00. The actual hourly is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
