Be our next Engineering Document Controller Intern
Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Document Control team, working full time in the Houston, Texas office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Experience in responsibility for developing, managing and maintaining the document control systems to Small/Mid/Large EPC or EPCM projects within Oil & Gas, Chemical & Petrochem business sector.
- Cross train and support other support function positions as requested
- Performs basic system maintenance and access requests.
- Develops and distributes meeting minutes and correspondence
- Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents.
- Organize and set up new projects with approved directories with appropriate security levels.
- Work with Project Managers to structure document and submittal logs with the proper reviewers/approvers and due dates.
- Monitor and follow up on past due document and submittal deliverables.
- Mentor and train new staff and project team members on systems and processes as requested.
- Assist Procurement department with setup of bid packages within the document control system.
- Update user and vendor directories.
- Setup and support meeting minutes and reports.
- Create scheduled and ad-hoc reports as needed.
What your experience looks like
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
- 1-3 years experience performing document control.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
