Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Infrastructure Division, of the Mid Atlantic Sector, based in Washington, DC. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Office Engineer to work for our Construction Management group on various infrastructure/rail/transit CMCI projects. The candidate will support projects with clients such as WMATA, VRE, VDOT, DDOT, etc. This position will be based in our main office in D.C. but will work remotely with the need to visit field offices and project sites as needed. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Assist in preparing, managing and reviewing project documentation, contracts, and reports.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Maintain accurate records of construction activities, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Support project scheduling, cost tracking, and progress reporting.
- Review and provide comment on contractor prepared schedules, quantities and cost estimates
- Schedule, attend and document project progress and field meetings.
- Accurately track contractor work progress related to quantities, schedule and budget
- Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages.
- Assist in resolving project-related issues and facilitating communication among teams.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred
- 2 years of construction project scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of construction scheduling and cost estimating processes preferred.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs required.
- Certified in construction certifications such as concrete and asphalt
- Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
The pay range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor
