What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Lead the structural design for complex and conventional bridge designs
- Performs tasks on projects requiring a broad and deep knowledge in a field of expertise related to bridge structures.
- Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets along with coordinating and supervising the preparation of engineering reports, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Lead project teams on bridge and temporary works design, constructability review, construction and Life Cycle Cost estimates, load rating.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage the production of drawings and specifications while also reviewing design options for both technical and financial impact.
- Perform site and field inspections and condition assessments.
- Oversee project construction including coordination and reviews of shop drawings and Requests for Information
- Supervise and direct staff engineers and technicians to meet project deadlines as well as scope and budget requirements
What your experience looks like
- 20 years progressively responsible relevant experience.
- MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- PE and SE License
- Prior experience with complex bridge projects
- Knowledge AASHTO and bridge analysis, design and detailing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians.
- Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to mentor structural engineers.
