EXP is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join their team in our Houston office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Lead and manage geological investigations for infrastructure engineering and construction projects.
- Analyze geological data and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Provide expert advice on geological and geotechnical issues to project teams.
- Develop and implement geological survey plans and methodologies.
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork to collect samples and data.
- Assess geological hazards and risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure project success.
- Review and approve geological and geotechnical reports and designs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Mentor and supervise junior geologists and other team members.
- Stay updated on advancements in geological science and engineering practices.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Geologist (PG) license or equivalent certification.
- Extensive experience in geological investigations and geotechnical analysis.
- Proficiency in geological software and tools (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, RockWorks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project management and team leadership.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards
