Your work environment at EXP
EXP is currently seeking a talented Senior Roadway Design Engineer for our Rome or Atlanta GA Office. The candidate will find opportunities on a wide range of projects involving traffic and safety studies, multi-modal roadway planning, highway design, site civil design, design review and construction oversight.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Perform and lead engineering design tasks for roadway and traffic projects from conceptual design to final design.
- Develop civil design of multi-modal transportation projects per AASHTO and applicable design standards.
- Develop plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Prepare final bid packages, design-build packages, and bridging documents.
- Possess excellent in-depth knowledge of roadway design software tools including MicroStation and InRoads, Synchro, and SIDRA.
- Mentor and develop new engineers in transportation and roadway design.
- Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients
- Perform technical analyses and reviews of infrastructure projects.
- Prepare reports, plans, and studies.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering. Preferably in civil or transportation.
- 8 years related experience.
- Licensed PE in the State of Georgia.
- GDOT experience preferred.
- In depth knowledge of Microstation and InRoads softwares.
- Strong technical design background in highway design and transportation engineering.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
