Job Summary :

The Student Engagement Coach for our RECESS program plays a crucial role in supporting student engagement and providing enriching experiences for children in both structured school settings and after-school programs. This position combines the responsibilities of a student engagement coach during school hours providing opportunities for personal and academic growth in a variety of settings.

Duties include (but are not limited to) :

• Inspire and serve as a role model for students at all times
• Teach brief leadership lessons and engage with students during class, lunch, and recess
• Must have basic knowledge in navigating the google excel (or be willing to learn)
• Assist in facilitating structured and unstructured activities during school hours, including recess, to promote student engagement and positive social interactions.
• Support the implementation of behavioral expectations and guidelines to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for students.
• Participate in activities aimed at fostering social-emotional skills, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and communication.
• Build positive relationships with students, contributing to a sense of belonging and connectedness within the school community.
• Assist in monitoring student behavior and providing support as needed to address conflicts and promote positive behavior.
