Basic Functions
We have immediate openings for Lineman skilled in construction, maintenance and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. This position works at various locations and may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands.
Responsibilities
Lineman will work safely in new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead work. Overhead wire, set poles and anchors, installs transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear. Will troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replaces cutout fuses and clears faulted circuits and systems. Capable to safely install and remove mechanical jumpers, understanding how to obtain a one shot on a re-closer. Must be able to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so.
Must have the following qualifications:
Journeyman License
CDL required
Clean driving record
Clean background
Willing to travel
Twic and basic plus is a plus
Experience in overhead and underground line work
Termination and splicing experience required
Qualifications
- Must have 2 year minimum of recent field experience or Coursework in Powerline trade
- Safety-minded and follow safety regulations
- Valid Driver’s License, Commercial Driver’s License is required
- Willing to submit to pre-employment, random and for-cause drug testing
