As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling Expedia Groups expanding advertising network. Your focus will be on technical innovation, operational excellence, fostering a collaborative team environment, and delivering excellent business results.In this role, you will : Lead and Innovate :

Manage and mentor a team of software engineers to design, build, and scale Expedia Groups expanding advertising network

Collaborate Strategically :

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and data science, to define goals, prioritize projects, and ensure successful implementation of solutions that meet business needs

Measure and Optimize :

Connect with 3rd party ad networks and leverage their optimization functions to improve relevance and delivery. Contribute to the development and enhancement of algorithms for targeting and personalization across Expedia Groups ad network

Drive Innovation :

Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in ad tech, integrating innovative approaches into our platform to maintain a competitive edge

Cultivate Talent :

Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence within the team. Mentor engineers to support their professional growth and maximize their potential

Deliver End-to-End Solutions :

Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless solutions that delight our advertising partners and drive measurable business outcomes

Experience and qualifications : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus

Engineering Expertise :

7 years of software engineering experience, preferably in advertising technology or related fields

Leadership Experience :

3 years of people management experience, with a track record of successfully leading engineering teams

AdTech Knowledge :

Understanding of advertising technologies such as real-time bidding, ad exchanges, and programmatic advertising

Technical Proficiency :

Strong knowledge of software development processes, software design principles, and systems architecture

Analytical Mindset :

Experience with machine learning, analytics, and data-driven decision-making

Strong Communication Skills :

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individuals knowledge, skills, and experience.
