Travel Cath Lab RN

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The Cath Lab RN plays a critical role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, providing direct patient care, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after catheterization lab procedures.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, and pacemaker implantation.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Operate and manage specialized equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Respond to emergency situations such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrest, following ACLS protocols.
• Document patient assessments, procedures, and interventions accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and procedures.
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in high-stress situations and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

• Hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab or outpatient cardiovascular facility.
• Requires standing for long periods and assisting with patient transfers.
• Exposure to radiation and bodily fluids (protective measures in place).
• Rotating shifts, on-call requirements, and potential for overtime.

Submission Requirements:

• Active IA or compact RN License
• 2 years of Cath Lab experience
• Travel experience required
• MUST be willing and able to take On call
• Must be willing to work 4x9's

Pay: $2,896.00 - $3,000.00 per week
