What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Specialist position at Expedite Technology Solutions?
Works under the direction of the V.P. Human Resources. Coordinates key corporate programs related to benefits and Wellness Supports the V.P. HR areas of responsibility related to the administration of benefits and HCM system administration.
- Provides information, interpretation, and guidance to HR staff and employees regarding EMC’s benefit prog
- Assists employees with escalated benefit claims and eligibility issue
- Ensures the timely filing of beneficiary cla
- Writes Five Star Outlook and Wellness articles.
- Assists with orientation of new employees to the benefit package at General Orientation and individual meeting
- Coordinates the employee discount availability.
Coordinates the annual Open Enrollment program including organizing/implementing the Wellness/Benefit Fair; assisting the design of plan documents; employee communication materials and conducting pre- and post-OE audits ensuring accuracy of data.
- Responsible for Open Enrollment setup, rate updates, system validation and operation as it relates to benefit activity
HCM system.
Responsible for review and error correction relating to vendor interface data from HCM system, across all benefit outbound and inbound.
- Coordinate new vendor interface set up and existing vendor modification
- Leads wellness program initiatives.
- Responsible for reconciliation, tracking and approval of all invoices for benefit vendors and employee benefit pl
- Coordinates activity with vendors for benefits, employee services and longevity program

- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of excel, power point and word applications; knowledge of an HR database system

Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
Licensure/Certification
- Preferred: PHR or SPHR; benefits certification
Experience:
- Required: 1-2 years related experience to employee benefits
- Preferred: Healthcare background
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
