Central Office in downtown Nashville, TN working daily in the office, with
technical and administrative staff. The position supports the
Department (TDEC) through procurement and management of goods
and services agency wide.
The preferred candidate will have experience performing a wide variety
of procurement-related functions. We are seeking a candidate who
possess a strong work ethic, is comfortable working with diverse
teams, and competent to effectively handle multiple tasks and
assignments daily. This position provides administrative functions
requiring a competent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office 365
SharePoint, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. We foster a work

Highlighted Responsibilities:
" Review and analyze requisitions from various divisions across
the agency ensure they meet departmental policies and follow
state procurement requirements.
" Create purchase orders for assigned requisitions and route for
appropriate review and approvals.
" Monitor and follow-up with division staff on status of open
purchase orders.
" Maintain vendor files and perform periodic review to update
records as necessary.
" Have general knowledge of contracts and be able to read and
understand contracts to ensure allowable costs and
reimbursements are followed and appropriate prices are
charged for goods and services.
