About Us:
The Advertising and Promotion Commission is the over-arching organization that manages Experience Fayetteville, (the Destination Marketing organization for Fayetteville, Arkansas) and the Fayetteville Town Center. This position is responsible for leading the evolution of our brand strategy, brand awareness and market positioning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serve as a key point of contact with the organization’s agency of record, guiding and reviewing creative campaigns
· Along with the VP of Marketing and Communications, collaborate with the agency of record on the creation and implementation of an annual media plan
· Oversee the production of all collateral; making determinations on when production should be in-house or with a third party and serve as the lead in-house graphic designer when appropriate
· Review all third-party creative drafts and serve as primary point of contact for feedback and approvals.
· Ensure visual brand continuity and integrity of brand narrative on the website, in the Visitors Center, in promotional items and in the development of merchandise, signage, presentations, etc.
· Fulfill requests for brand assets including photography to internal and external stakeholders, guiding stakeholders on the appropriate usage of Experience Fayetteville assets
· In collaboration with the marketing team, conceptualize and develop innovative marketing strategies to promote the destination to visitors and the local community.
· In cooperation with VP of Marketing and Communications and EF Sales team, coordinate familiarization trips for key travel influencers and content creators, including collaboration with Arkansas Tourism industry partners and stakeholders
· Own the Experience Fayetteville creative asset library and arrange photoshoots to ensure that the photo library is sufficient to represent Fayetteville destinations
· Manage the lightpole banner program, including budgeting and vendor management.
· Take lead on special projects, including creative collaborations and cooperative projects with local and regional partners and other creative opportunities.
· Collaborate with marketing team to guide and support social media and web content creation, occasionally managing social media to provide relief to other team members
· As part of a small team, occasionally represent Experience Fayetteville at tradeshows and/or community events.
Qualifications:
· At least 10 years marketing and graphic design experience
· Experience in leading cross-functional teams (in-house and consultants) to produce creative campaigns, obtaining buy-in from key stakeholders
· Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite
· Experience in maintaining a digital asset library
· Experience in maintaining a website for a brand
· Experience in managing social media for a brand
· Experience representing a brand at tradeshows and/or community events
· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field, or commensurate experience
· Experience in Destination Marketing or similar industry preferred, but not required

Visual acuity to work on a computer screen and view written materials is required for this job. Occasional evening and weekend work is expected. This position works primarily in an indoor work environment.
