Experience Kissimmee is the tourism authority for the Kissimmee destination and Osceola County. We promote the destination domestically and around the world to potential leisure, meetings/business, and sports travelers. Our team develops and implements sales, marketing, and communications programs that encourage more than 9 million overnight guests annually.
Experience Kissimmee is currently recruiting for a Research Coordinator. This role will be primarily responsible for assisting in preparing research reports and presentations and supporting the Director of Research for successful completion of research projects.
This Research Coordinator will telecommute and work some days at Experience Kissimmee’s office in Celebration and some days from home. In addition, in-person meetings will be required at various locations throughout Kissimmee and Osceola County; therefore, candidates are expected to live in Central Florida. Possession of a valid Florida’s driver’s license and a clean 3-year motor vehicle report is required.

the responsibilities of the position.
· Assist in preparing research for diverse audiences utilizing data from various sources.
· Assist in preparing presentations for Board of Directors meetings, Tourist Development Council meetings and other meetings.
· Monitor and assist with regular updates of internal dashboards.
· Receive requests from internal Experience Kissimmee departments and/or external partners route to Director and/or reply with appropriate information.
· Conduct and prepare descriptive analyses and visualizations as requested.
· Responsible for in-person/virtual meeting set up. This includes reserving meeting space, reserving company Zoom links, requesting technical assistance if needed for presentations, ordering food and beverage, preparing meeting materials, taking minutes, as well as tearing down following the meeting.
· Work within project management tool to submit requests for Marketing creative support and/or Experience Kissimmee website updates on behalf of the department. Closely monitor request lifecycle and update Director on project status.
· Prepare travel authorizations as needed on behalf of the Director of Research (with estimates of travel, hotel, per diems) and routes for approval.
· Assist with department financial transactions including requesting approvals, processing invoices for payment, budgeting, and preparing financial reports.
· Perform duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Analytics, or related fields and a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience. Will substitute experience for education.
· Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite; knowledge of descriptive analyses and visualization tools is required (such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
· Must be curious, open to learning new tools, organized and detail-oriented person.
· Requires strong customer relations skills, communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, and the ability to work with confidential documents.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, monitor and achieve deadlines under pressure.
· Must be a self-motivated, team player with high energy and a great attitude.
