Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team, ideally with extensive experience in the outpatient setting. Alternatively, we are also encouraging new grads from DPT programs to apply, especially if there is a strong interest in pursuing the outpatient setting in the long-term. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, performing in-depth initial evaluations, and developing personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Duties
- Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and diagnoses.
- Implement therapeutic exercises/activities, neuro-muscular reeducation, manual therapy, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Open to peer-to-peer education and communication in sharing and learning skills
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
- Valid state of California licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Up to date on CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred; familiarity with orthopedics is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
