Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including clinics and facilities that support individuals with developmental disabilities. The LVN or EMT will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring the delivery of effective patient care while adhering to established protocols and standards.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Perform procedures such as IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, and gastric lavage.
- Assist in airway management for patients as needed.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving care facilities.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems like Cerner.
- Provide support and care for individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering an inclusive environment.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Emergency Medical Technician license in the state of practice.
- Experience working in a clinical setting preferred; familiarity with Cerner and KIPU is a plus.
- Skills in gastric lavage, airway management, IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, discharge planning, and working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience as a First Repsonder or working with First Repsonders is a plus and additional opportunites may be available

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
