Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. The Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all common areas, assisting with light maintenance duties, and supporting a high standard of hospitality and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, dining rooms, restrooms, activity rooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.
- Assist with room turnover and light maintenance duties, such as minor repairs, painting, and furniture assembly.
- Respond promptly to resident and staff requests for assistance with facility-related needs.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support the setup and breakdown of events and activities within the community.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or maintenance work, especially in a residential or hospitality setting, is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening, as required by state regulations.
