Our client, a leading organization in the chemical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the operations group supporting the logistics department. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title : Logistics Specialist Location : Round Rock, TX Duration : 12 Months contract What's the Job? Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts, identifying discrepancies, and taking corrective action. Manage receiving processes, including matching packing slips to purchase orders and properly storing materials. Issue inventory and consumable items, ensuring timely delivery to end users. Ensure all shipments comply with DOT and IATA regulations. Participate in documenting processes and identifying areas for improvement focusing on quality, efficiency, and safety. What's Needed? High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a business discipline preferred. Prior experience in a chemical handling, distribution, and / or material management environment preferred. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Excellent record-keeping skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues. What's in it for me?
