Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1
Location: Onsite, Sandston, VA.
Duration: 6-18 months.
Pay Range: $20-$23 per hour.
Work Schedule: Regular Business Hours (Monday-Friday).
The Data Center Technician is responsible for executing logistics support operations, including inventory management, shipping/receiving, and material movement within a data center environment. This role involves tracking and staging inventory, processing incoming/outgoing deliveries, and ensuring regulatory compliance through audits and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Perform inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Manage physical inventory tracking and staging to ensure accuracy.
- Handle material movement, shipping, receiving, and inventory management per standard processes.
- Destroy data-bearing devices following documented procedures and security protocols.
- Monitor software and system performance, responding to error messages and resolving issues.
- Assist programmers and analysts in testing and debugging new programs.
- Utilize spreadsheet and database software to process and manipulate data for reporting purposes.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 2 years of experience in warehouse/supply chain operations, preferably in an IT environment or related field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Previous experience in a data center environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent technical training.
- 0-2 years of experience in data center operations or logistics support.
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure and inventory management systems.
- Experience leading a team of 5-10 supplier resources, if required.
