Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of secure, high-quality, and scalable software solutions in an agile environment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software using Python and modern toolsets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, technology, product, and quantitative research teams.
- Apply expertise in software engineering disciplines, covering business analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Influence product design, application functionality, and technical processes to optimize performance and security.
- Advocate for firm-wide best practices in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD).
- Ensure cloud-native best practices and contribute to AI, ML, and analytics-driven applications where applicable.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, leveraging tools like Splunk and ElasticSearch for observability.
