Systems Analyst/Programmer

Our client, a leader in research technology, is seeking a Systems Analyst/Programmer to join their team. As a Systems Analyst/Programmer, you will be part of the research computing team supporting various research initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Systems Analyst/Programmer

Location: Bloomington, IN

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000

What's the Job?

• Provides advanced analysis and programming related to the design, development, and support of research systems.
  
• Acts as lead in the development and implementation of well-engineered software that supports and enriches research productivity and reliability.
  
• Engages with researchers to co-create and co-learn relevant computing and data capabilities.
  
• Builds and maintains relationships across various teams to support researchers' needs in a timely manner.
  
• Helps design workflows leveraging high-performance computing systems and cloud-based resources for large data analysis.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience in systems analysis and programming.
  
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based cyberinfrastructure and high-performance computing.
  
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  
• Experience in collaborating with researchers and IT professionals.
  
• Familiarity with grant proposals and academic research processes.
