Required Skills, Experience & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree OR associate degree with two or more years of relevant experience OR high school diploma with four or more years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
- Two or more years of technical background and exposure in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) disciplines.
- Two or more years of prior experience in external sales business development.
- Ability to independently travel domestically up to 50% of the time including less than 10% overnights and weekends as needed. Flexibility to travel with little notice to meet customer needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Outlook email, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to manage a hybrid schedule, balancing time in the office between customer appointments, off-site meetings, and work-related travel.
- Ability to drive for the company with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass driving record background check.
- Ability to utilize personal vehicle for the majority of work travel AND ability to rent a car when requested by supervisor for work travel.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors at manufacturing and data center environments with varying heights, temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to wear PPE as appropriate for potential environmental hazards.
- Track record of success in consultative selling approach and demonstration of adherence to a repeatable sales process.
- Five or more years of technical background and exposure in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) disciplines.
- Five or more years of prior experience in external sales business development.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team.
- An entrepreneurial and strategic mindset.
- Comfort discussing customer budgets and leading a value-over-price oriented conversation with prospects.
- Familiarity with digital sales tools such as CRM and social media.
- Proactivity, accountability, and ownership of personal outcomes as it pertains to sales goals and quotas.
- The ability to navigate internal and external organization structures to influence decision makers.
- Helping our customers pursue meaningful advancements in their journey towards proactive reliability.
- Contribution to the overall net growth and profitability of a 100% employee-owned company.
