What are the responsibilities and job description for the ABA Program Manager position at EXPERT ABA CONSULTING, LLC?

The ABA Program Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the ABA program developed by the Clinical Director (BCBA-D, BCBA) and works under their supervision. She/he is responsible for maintaining appropriate targets and goals, updating the client’s programs on a weekly basis, meeting with parents to ensure treatment is effective, supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) assigned to their team, and ensuring the overall progress of the client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the BCBAs and RBTs to provide intervention, conduct assessments, write progress reports and develop programs for assigned cases.
  • Maintain data reliability and fidelity checks regularly. Plans and leads monthly progress updates for each family served with program team.
  • Assists in creating and delivering specific intervention activities and provides parent education according to treatment plan or other individualized assessments.
  • Monitors the skill acquisition of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disorders.
  • Completes necessary documentation including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports and exit summaries, and keeps updated with other programs, and participant-related documents and reports.
  • Provides and coordinates on-going competency-based staff training. Attends staff meetings, in-services, treatment planning, and other meetings as requested.
  • Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in Autism, ABA, special education and related fields.
  • Maintains frequent, professional and courteous communications with participants and families. Communicates parental concerns and needs immediately to the case supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree or higher from an accredited university in Psychology, Education/Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and related field preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field and currently enrolled in a BCBA Program
  • BCaBA with a Masters degree Preferred.
  • BCaBa with a Bachelors degree
  • Two (2) years of professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written), and the ability to provide feedback in a constructive manner.
  • Knowledgeable of evidence-based practices and scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit children with ASD; familiar with current research findings.
  • Familiar with the approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), Functional Communication Training (FCT), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA). Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies.
  • Strong clinical, administrative, and leadership skills; customer service orientated and professional.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills with a variety of individuals and groups. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and related computer software.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance and obtain immunizations (TB clearance).
  • Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver's license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration
  • Must be willing to travel to assigned work sites (25-35 minutes from home).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
