What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist Programmer position at Expert Staffing West?
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist with expertise in MasterCAM to join our team. Our focus is on precision machining, delivering high-quality results for our customers, and fostering a collaborative environment for skilled professionals.
- Program and set up 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills, ensuring efficient and precise machining.
- Work with MasterCAM for programming and CAMplete for simulation and verification.
- Utilize spindle probes and macros to enhance precision (preferred).
- Operate with Haas, Fanuc, and Heidenhain controls (a plus).
- Develop setup sheets and determine cost-effective tooling solutions.
- Track tool life, replace cutting tools as needed, and optimize machining processes.
- Provide clear work instructions to setup personnel and machine operators to ensure consistent quality.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
- Strong background in 5-axis machining, with full simultaneous experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MasterCAM is a must.
- Previous experience in a high-precision machining environment.
- Ability to problem-solve and work efficiently in a team setting.
- Candidates may be required to demonstrate programming skills.
- Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
