We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and a passion for precision machining. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing programs for CNC machines to ensure high-quality production of components. You will work closely with engineers and machinists to interpret schematics and produce parts that meet specifications.
Shift 7am-3:30pm
Pay rate up to $40/hr. DOE
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including lathe operations.
- Utilize CAM programming software to create efficient machining paths and setups.
- Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to ensure accurate part production.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to implement Lean manufacturing principles for process improvement.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and make necessary adjustments to enhance productivity.
- Maintain documentation of programs, setups, and changes made during the production process.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the machining process.
Skills
- Proficient in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls preferred.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts related to machining processes.
- Familiarity with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in programming and setup tasks.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration within a team environment.
