Job Description:We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated caregiver to support a 14-year-old girl with ADHD in West Detroit. The primary focus of this position is to help the young girl work on social skills, provide daily support, and assist in managing ADHD-related challenges. You will work closely with her to foster positive behavior, improve social interactions, and assist in various day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with social skill development and help the child engage in positive interactions
- Provide structure and support for daily routines, including schoolwork and chores
- Facilitate activities that improve focus, communication, and social confidence
- Encouragement with light housekeeping andmeal preparation
- Monitor emotional and behavioral progress and provide feedback to family
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with ADHD, is preferred but not required
- Patience, understanding, and ability to foster a positive and supportive environment
- Comfortable providing guidance in social situations and supporting skill-building
- Must be reliable andpunctual
- Ability to work collaboratively with family members and adapt to specific needs
