Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of production.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Optimize processes for efficiency.
- Lead a team of skilled personnel.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
- Evaluate and improve the implementation and following of safety, quality, shipping, and production practices and procedures.
- Assume department cost responsibility.
- Develop an operations budget.
- Manage costs to meet budget requirements.
- Drive ongoing cost savings efforts and challenges.
- Complete monthly operations metrics to ensure peak performance and operational excellence.
- Develop personnel for succession planning and ensure the team has the required skills to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Certification in Safety or Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.
- Lieutenant Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred).
- High level of leadership skills, organizational planning, teamwork, and analytical reasoning.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- 5 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with relevant software applications, such as ERP systems and production planning tools.
- Able to communicate and express ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral form.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong interpersonal, technical, and presentation skills required.
- Bachelor's Degree (Technical or Business Administration preferred).
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
