Job Type : Full Time Location : Burlington, Massachusetts Pay : Competitive Pay & Benefits! Job Description What you will be doing :
Work closely with the Managing Principal and / or architect of record to oversee and manage projects for the office.
Involved in all project phases, from field surveys and schematic design to construction document preparation, permitting, and construction administration.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of project needs to ensure adherence to the schedule, financial health, and client relationships.
Manage project teams that may comprise other PMs, architects, production and administrative staff to successfully complete projects from start to finish.
Assist in the preparation of client proposals and presentations, being a good communicator both orally and in writing to all project stakeholders.
Develop project design scopes, schedules, and fees.
Retain, negotiate, and manage project consultants including reviewing proposals / contracts, coordinating and reviewing deliverables, managing consultant fees, schedules, and scopes.
Perform contract administration during construction, including submittal and shop drawing reviews, responding to RFIs, and conducting construction site observations as needed.
Lead, manage, and implement quality control review efforts with the team on projects.
Directly manage production teams and staff on projects, providing periodic project status updates to the Director of Architecture.
Provide mentoring, oversight, and guidance to less experienced team members.
Experience you will need :
Professional degree in architecture or equivalent experience required.
NCARB and KY state license preferred with reciprocity potential to other jurisdictions.
Minimum 6 years of experience in the architectural profession required, preferably with commercial, industrial, retail, office / warehouse, distribution, athletic, and faith-based projects.
Experience working with Design / Build partners preferred.
Healthcare and cancer center design experience is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Bluebeam review / QC required.
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local building and zoning codes and their application on projects.
Revit production experience is a plus, with the ability to navigate projects in Revit and AutoCAD for tasks like information searches, reviews, plotting, and similar duties.
Strong team-oriented personality, with a deliberate focus on mentoring and supporting junior team members and colleagues to promote future team efficiency and growth.
