Job Description
What you will be doing :
- Interpret and analyze financial statements continually and inform Dealership / CFO.
- Work closely with Department Managers on reporting expenses.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations tax laws and industry standards.
- Prepare for and manage audits.
- Enforce internal control systems to safeguard the company.
- Prepare or review monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines within each manufacturer’s format and time frame.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and review with CFO.
- Prepare analysis of accounts as required and provide support to senior management for strategic decision making.
- Review cash flow management by working with Office Managers to follow contracts intransit and vehicle receivables.
- Review or compute Sales Tax monthly.
- Review the general ledger and scheduled accounts.
- Note any unusual entries and investigate and report them back to the CFO.
- Ensure all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims rebates interest and coop advertising accounts are current and accurate.
- Ability to step in and cover Office Manager responsibilities in times of need.
- Monitor all schedules and financial reports monthly.
